Reflecting on 2024: Driving Credit Union Growth, Efficiency, Intelligence and Empowerment



2024 has been a year filled with collaboration, education, and innovation aimed at empowering credit unions nationwide. From coast to coast, we’ve partnered with leaders and teams to harness the power of data, improve member experiences, and build stronger, more connected communities. Here’s a look back at some of the incredible milestones achieved together.

 

Data Education: Building Roadmaps for Success

The Data Activation Series (DAS) has been a cornerstone in guiding credit union leaders toward creating impactful strategies. Through DAS, we’ve helped leaders:

  • Enhance user experiences and automate manual processes.

  • Develop comprehensive staff training programs to ensure consistency and expertise across all touchpoints.

  • Simplify and integrate products and processes for seamless member experiences.

Highlight: Dive deeper into the DAS journey with the Solarity Credit Union Case Study, showcasing the transformative power of data activation.

Educational partnerships with SCMS and WCMS have provided over 300+ CU leaders across the West Coast and Southwest with tools and frameworks to drive meaningful change.

We were thrilled to partner with Datava, extending data strategies to even more credit unions. This year we also saw the CU Big Data Big Climb Book Club kickoff, inspiring leaders to integrate data-driven insights into their strategies.

From Deep-Dive Data Governance sessions to the ongoing support of DAS alumni through Elevation Sessions, we’ve built a strong foundation for continuous improvement.

Advisory: Partnering to Drive Growth and Efficiency and increase member experience

This year, we partnered with credit unions like UNCLE, Rebrand, Central One, CU Denver, Chartway, CAHP, Empeople, Red Wing, South Point, Minnco, and SharePoint to develop data strategies that:

  • Drove net income growth by leveraging insights into member behavior, competition, spending, and risk.

  • Identified new business opportunities, enhanced member satisfaction, streamlined loan processes, and improved operational efficiency. Results included better member retention, reduced call center wait times, and enhanced automation.

  • Infused organizational insights into leadership teams and frontline staff, enabling them to lead with confidence and data literacy, driving real impact.

 

On the Road: Sharing Knowledge Coast to Coast

This year took us on an exciting journey to close knowledge gaps on AI, assessments, use cases, and enablement. We shared insights on leveraging data for growth, efficiency, intelligence, and empowerment across:

Oahu, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, South Dakota, Massachusetts, Virginia, Minnesota, Washington, Texas, Nevada, and California.

 

Highlights from 2024 Events

  • Engaging at GAC, where we celebrated the innovative work of MSA and the Underground, the BIG Innovation Club, Culytics, and CU 2.0 VIP Live as well as partnering with Becky Reed at BankSocial.

  • Translating these learnings into 50+ blogs and three case studies, demonstrating real-world success.

  • Judging the USA Banking Tech Awards and facilitating vibrant discussions at CU Times Technology Showcases.

  • Advising Nook on their launch into the credit union space, adding to the incredible momentum of innovation this year.
